Common Pulse Jet Valve Problems and Troubleshooting

During Installation and Commissioning None of the valves can open, but the pilot/armature operates normally. Air supply pressure is too low, or the input voltage is insufficient. Check the air supply pressure. Check the input voltage and restore it to the rated value if necessary.
During Installation and Commissioning Some valves do not operate, while the others work normally. Loose wiring connection or faulty solenoid coil. Electromagnetic interference from nearby high-voltage or high-frequency equipment may also affect operation. Check the wiring and solenoid coil. Keep the valve away from high-voltage/high-frequency equipment or add suitable shielding. Replace faulty components if necessary.
During Installation and Commissioning None of the valves can close. Air leakage is present and the air tank cannot build pressure. For submerged/Y-type valves, one or more valves connected to the same air tank may be leaking, causing all valves to lose pressure. Identify and repair the leaking valve.
During Installation and Commissioning None of the valves can close. Air leakage is present and the air tank cannot build pressure. For right-angle/Z-type valves, the inlet and outlet may have been installed in the wrong direction. Reinstall the valve with the inlet and outlet in the correct direction.
During Installation and Commissioning Some valves cannot close completely and air leakage occurs. Dirt or debris is trapped on the diaphragm, or the armature/moving core is stuck. Clean the diaphragm. Check that the diaphragm is intact. Inspect and clean the armature and pilot air passage.
During Installation and Commissioning The valve closes slowly. The diaphragm bleed/orifice hole is blocked. Clean the diaphragm bleed/orifice hole.
During Operation Some valves leak, the diaphragm cannot close completely, or the valve remains partially open. Debris is trapped on the diaphragm, the pilot assembly is damaged, or the moving core is blocked. Clean the diaphragm and pilot assembly. Check that the diaphragm is intact. Inspect the armature and air passage, and replace damaged parts if necessary.
During Operation The solenoid coil becomes hot or burns out. The coil has been energized continuously for too long. Check the controller operation and make sure the valve is not energized for longer than the specified pulse duration.
During Operation Voltage is present, but the valve does not operate. The diaphragm is damaged or the bleed/orifice hole is blocked. Replace the damaged diaphragm or related parts, and clean the blocked orifice.
During Operation At ambient temperatures below -20°C, the valve leaks and cannot open properly. Low temperature causes frost or icing inside the valve. Provide suitable insulation or heating and maintain the valve within the recommended operating temperature range.
