What Is a Flanged Pulse Jet Valve?
A flanged pulse jet valve is a diaphragm-operated valve used to release short, high-flow pulses of compressed air for cleaning filter bags or cartridges.
Unlike conventional threaded pulse valves, the inlet side of the valve uses a flange connection for direct and secure installation to the compressed air manifold or header tank.
The outlet is typically connected to the blow tube through a slide seal or similar connection structure.
This design provides a stable mechanical connection while maintaining the high airflow required for efficient pulse jet cleaning.
How Does It Work?
Compressed air is stored in the air manifold and enters the pulse valve through the flanged inlet.
When the solenoid pilot is energized, compressed air above the main diaphragm is rapidly released through the pilot passage.
The resulting pressure difference lifts the diaphragm quickly.
A large volume of compressed air then flows through the valve and into the blow tube, generating a powerful pulse that removes accumulated dust from the filter bags or cartridges.
When the solenoid is de-energized, pressure above the diaphragm is restored and the valve closes rapidly.
